Opening with just acoustic guitar and vocal, ‘Things’ by London-born singer-songwriter Henry Grace gently expands into a lush soundscape of strings, synths, wide-panned guitars, percussion, and the airy drone of wine glasses. Evoking the early stages of love through warm, dreamlike textures, it captures Grace at his most emotive yet, following his previous RotD-featured singles ‘Say Something Mean’ and ‘This Is The Place’. Co-produced with Blaine Harrison of Mystery Jets, the track is lifted from his forthcoming album 'Things Are Moving All Around Me' — a record that marks his evolution from introspective troubadour to assured bandleader. After cutting his teeth on California’s club circuit at 21, where he absorbed influences from Bon Iver and Ray LaMontagne, Grace returned to London and has since earned tastemaker support from BBC Introducing, Absolute Radio, Clash, Wonderland, Americana UK, Songwriting Magazine, and Mahogany, alongside sold-out headline shows at The Lexington, Omeara, and The Jazz Café. Festival highlights include The Great Escape 2024 and Glastonbury’s Acoustic Stage. This is a heartfelt reflection on love, change, and belonging and is primed for spins across 6 Music and Radio 2, along with additions to Americana and folk DSP playlists.
