Dramatic and haunting, 'The Feast' is the striking new single from Swiss, London-based indie-rock artist Mary Middlefield. A classically trained violinist with a knack for bending genres, Mary channels raw emotion into a cinematic sound. Exploring the ache of unrequited love and the desperation of wanting to be chosen, the track balances intensity and fragility — a study in devotion, desire, and self-erasure. Co-written with Arnaud Paolini, Anna Borkenhagen, and Yvan Vindret, and co-produced by Gwen Buord, 'The Feast' builds with sweeping orchestration, rich textures, and a vocal performance that is commanding and vulnerable. With echoes of The Last Shadow Puppets' grandeur, it's a track that could be heard on a James Bond score or a brooding Netflix drama. Following releases like 'Summer Affair', 'Will You Read My Mind', and 'Bite Me', with support from BBC Radio 2, 6 Music, Radio X, SiriusXM, and others, 'The Feast' builds on her momentum. With praise from The Line of Best Fit, Hunger, Wonderland, Noctis, and BBC Introducing, and named one of Spotify’s Artists to Watch 2025, Mary is making significant strides ahead of her third project, and we can't wait to hear more.
