For those craving a touch of ’90s-inspired alternative, London alt-rock newcomer Oliver Beardmore delivers in style on his latest single, 'Ammonite'. Teaming up with Brooklyn experimental shoegazers Punchlove, Beardmore crafts a wistful slow-burn that drifts from hazy dream-pop textures into a cathartic, crashing finale, subtly echoing early Radiohead. Co-produced with Xav Sinden and mixed by Matt Glasbey (Bloc Party, Alt-J, Sorry), the track balances gauzy atmospheres with lyrical introspection, exploring the pain and release of seeing your flaws mirrored in someone else. Punchlove’s Jillian Olesen and Ian Lange-McPherson lend haunting depth to the song’s emotional pull. With early support from Apple Music, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Introducing, and live slots alongside Gia Ford, Junodream, Late Night Drive Home and Steve Mason, Beardmore continues to carve out his space in the UK’s alt-rock landscape.
