We say

Released yesterday, ‘Say Something Mean’ is the gorgeous Americana-tinged new release from London-born singer-songwriter Henry Grace. After moving to California at 21, he was introduced to artists like Ray LaMontagne, whose influence helped shape the introspective songwriting of his 2022 debut ‘Alive In America’. Following his literature studies at Berkeley, Henry returned to the UK, where he’s since built a growing reputation with support from Wonderland, Americana UK, Anthem, Mahogany, BBC Introducing and Absolute Radio – and sold-out shows at The Lexington, Omeara, and The Jazz Cafe. Co-produced with Mystery Jets’ Blaine Harrison and recorded live at Middle Farm Studios, the song blends a rootsy guitar riff, warm harmonies, and bluesy band dynamics, recalling Bonny Light Horseman and Hiss Golden Messenger. With a warm-up at Paper Dress Vintage next week ahead of his Glastonbury Acoustic Stage debut, 'Say Something Mean' is ripe for support at 6 Music, Radio 2, and across Americana playlists at DSPs.
