WE SAY

Continuing our spotlight on artists performing at SXSW London next week is one of our Ones To Watch 2025 artists: Sasha Keable. With roots in R&B and soul, the British/Colombian singer-songwriter grew up on a rich musical diet of Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Mary J Blige, and the Colombian sounds of Cumbia and Vallenato. Forthright and unapologetically emotional, the south London artist pours real life and pain into her songs and performances. After releasing her sublime ‘Intermission’ EP in 2021, which featured the huge track ‘Killing Me’ with Jorja Smith (over 10m streams), she returned in 2024 with ‘Hold  Up’  and received co-signs from Little Simz, Enny, Mahalia, Jorja Smith, and Wu-Tang Clan. Building on that momentum, Sasha followed up with ‘Auction’, ‘Take Your Time’ featuring 6lack, and the piano-led soul gem ‘Why’, which premiered on Colors. Most recently, she dropped ‘act right’, a track that showcases her commanding vocal presence, sharp lyricism, and unmistakable blend of R&B, pop, and soul-jazz. With over 200k Instagram followers, 2m monthly Spotify listeners, and a sold-out 2024 UK and European tour, Sasha has also earned widespread tastemaker support from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, 1Xtra, Rinse FM, Clash, and more. Ahead of her summer festival slots at Meltdown and Glastonbury, Sasha Keable will perform as part of SXSW London at Shoreditch Town Hall on Tuesday 3 June at 9pm. Music Festival Wristbands are available here.
