WE SAY

Opening our new week of Ones To Watch 2026 is multi-talented artist, singer-songwriter and classically trained saxophonist Charlie Jeer. It’s been a remarkable 18 months for the Kent-born newcomer, who has amassed over 100m streams since breaking through independently with 'Her Eyes'. His fusion of hypnotic jazz textures, deep-house production and smooth, dreamlike vocals has drawn heavyweight admiration from Calvin Harris, Black Coffee, Jamie Jones, Songer, Bloody Civilian, and Ruze – who hosted him for a standout MixMag Lab London set. The tastemaker support has kept pace, with backing from Colors, GQ South Africa, Man About Town, Notion, Hunger, Mixmag and KISS Dance, alongside strong DSP momentum via Spotify (New Music Friday UK, Lowkey, Gone Abroad, Just Dropped, Cocoa Butter), Amazon’s +44 R&B and Apple Music’s New In Dance. Now signed to Capitol Records, Charlie released his debut EP 'Everything Is Temporary' last Friday (5 December) – an eight-track collection exploring memory, relationships and personal growth, crafted with producer Ben Stancombe. Its standout track 'Mona Lisa' captures Charlie at his most refined, blending Latin-tinged instrumentation with silky vocals and warm, fluid sax notes. With over 600k TikTok followers, 1.5m monthly Spotify listeners and co-signs from some of electronic music’s biggest names, 22-year-old Charlie Jeer has already made a significant mark. With 'Everything Is Temporary', he looks set to soar even higher in 2026.
