MACHINE GHOST

Erin LeCount

Atlantic Records UK

WE SAY

Starting this week's Ones To Watch 2026 is the burgeoning self-taught alt-pop singer, songwriter, and producer Erin LeCount. She first caught our attention late last year with the demo of 'Silver Spoon', which swiftly became a breakout moment — going viral on TikTok, earning BBC Radio 1’s Track of the Week, and now surpassing 10.5m streams. Drawing on influences from Fiona Apple and Kate Bush to Lorde, Imogen Heap, and Charli XCX, LeCount has spent 2025 refining her spellbinding blend of luscious baroque arrangements and alluring gothic-pop, most notably on her brilliant second EP 'I Am Digital, I Am Divine'. Recent singles, '808 Hymn' and the hauntingly beautiful 'GHOST MACHINE' further showcase the 22-year-old's singular sonic and creative vision. With 550.6K Spotify monthly listeners and features in Dork and Wonderland, she has also earned praise from The Guardian, Clash, Teen Vogue, and more. Plus, she featured on Ben Böhmer’s 'Faithless', performed at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, and recently graced Paris Fashion Week (attending Ann Demeulemeester and Mugler shows). Erin is now gearing up for her sold-out La Lune Tour, including a headline show at Koko next Monday (1 December) before heading to North America in February. We love her bold, distinctive voice and ethereal sound. Add to that her unwavering artistic vision and total creative control, and we reckon she is on course to have a massive year in 2026.
