We last featured RotD fave Blakey in 2023 with the UK garage-inspired 'Need', after championing him since 2018's 'Future Skies'. Since then, the London-based artist has been steadily pivoting toward the electronic and dance space with releases like the future bass-inspired '5 Reasons' and viral hit 'Ta Ta Ta', which featured on Love Island UK’s final and continues to build strong momentum online. Dropping this Friday (7 Nov), 'G.O.D. Man' marks Blakey’s boldest move yet. Fusing liquid drum & bass textures with an anthemic pop chorus, the single retains his signature melodic sensibility while leaning into a darker, more club-ready energy. Lyrically, it explores intoxicated bravado and the instinct to protect those we care about, all delivered with the sleek, nocturnal confidence of The Weeknd’s 'Starboy'. With previous tastemaker support from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, Spotify, Apple Music, Notion and Clash, Blakey continues to demonstrate why he remains one of the UK’s most versatile and self-sufficient emerging artists. With more than 75m global streams to his name, he’s now gearing up for an ambitious new chapter - releasing a new single every month and live shows in 2026, and is actively seeking management and a wider team to help scale his next phase.
