Happy New Year

Blair Davie

Giant Music

WE SAY

Next up on our Ones To Watch 2026 is rising Scottish singer-songwriter Blair Davie. We first tipped them in 2022 with the striking 'Platform 10' for our Great Escape recommendations. Now based in London, Blair has built a catalogue of emotive releases across three EPs, most recently October’s 'First and Last'. The project has nearly 300k global streams and includes 'Butterflies', which featured on Love Island UK. Last week, they released 'Happy New Year', a beautiful ode to family, love, and renewal. Written in an isolated Scottish AirBnB with close friends and Blair’s brother, the track pairs soft piano and acoustic guitar with echoes of 'Auld Lang Syne', showcasing Blair’s talent for quietly powerful songwriting. Tastemaker support for their music has come from DSPs, radio, and press, playlisting on Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify; spins on BBC Radio 1 Introducing, KCRW, Apple Music Radio 1, and Dutch airplay; plus features in Clash, Atwood Magazine, and De Telegraaf. Blair has toured Europe and the US, supported JP Cooper, Emeli Sandé, Sam Fischer, and Fatherson, and played festivals such as The Great Escape, Sziget, Electric Picnic, and Reeperbahn. Blair is currently on a UK headline tour, having played Folklore earlier this week. With support from Alex Warren and Lewis Capaldi, plus a Eurosonic booking in January, Blair Davie enters 2026 as a standout new voice primed for a breakthrough year.
