Sugar On My Lips

Iris Gold

GL Music Entertainment A/S

WE SAY

British-Danish artist Iris Gold reveals a gentler, more intimate side on her latest single ‘Sugar On My Lips’. Co-written and produced with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, the track is a tender ode to the quiet thrill of longing. Inspired by the emotional honesty of Notting Hill’s iconic “I’m just a girl” scene, the song pairs confessional lyrics with warm, understated production, allowing vulnerability to take centre stage. Following the 2025 releases ‘Smile’ and the playful nod to André 3000 in ‘André 3k’, the single further showcases Iris’s versatility and emotional range. Her music has earned praise from the Guardian, Elle UK, Vice, Clash, Afropunk, and Gaffa, while on the live front, she has clocked up over 150 European shows and received a Danish Music Awards nomination for Best Live Act. A quietly captivating and tender listen.
