Oliver $ & Jimi Jules
Pushing On

Ministry Of Sound/Defected

WE SAY

If you've already been to Ibiza this summer, you'll be rather familiar with this club monster from Berlin's Oliver $ and Switzerland's Jimi Jules. The duo are building a solid reputation, individually as club DJs across the globe from the Balearics to the US, via Ministry of Sound in London, plus together as go-to remixers of the moment (they've just reworked Jessie Ware's latest single Tough Love). After being premiered early in the season as an Essential New Tune by Pete Tong at Radio 1, Annie Mac, B Traits, Nick Grimshaw, Huw Stephens and Phil & Alice all supported it heavily too. It's this week been added to the station's C-list and the plot is growing rapidly. Added to the 1Xtra playlist, Capital Xtra and Kiss Fresh have been early supporters too. Already sitting comfortably inside the Top 20 on Shazam's UK pre-release chart, the track held the No.1 spot on Beatport for several weeks. Released via Ministry Of Sound's collaborative deal with Defected Records (a partnership that gave them huge success at the end of 2013 with Storm Queen's Look Right Through), we fully expect this to follow in the footsteps of recent MoS smash Secondcity's I Wanna Feel, both of which we featured months before they charted. Featuring a cool sample from Pushin On by The Quantic Soul Orchestra, this is another tasty gospel-tinged slice of House that we'll be happy to listen to wherever we go for several months ahead.
