Blending moody pop with club-ready energy and an infectious guitar lick, ‘Let My Hair Down’ is the bold and addictive new release from London-based, Norwegian-born artist IVY. Marking a significant sonic and aesthetic shift from her earlier work as bby ivy, the sultry, fierce track ushers in a new era for IVY. Channelling early-2000s nostalgia through polished pop hooks and pulsating beats, ‘Let My Hair Down’ is tailor-made for new pop playlists at DSPs and spins on UK radio. The single has already earned early tastemaker support from 1883 Magazine, Notion, and Subbacultcha, building on previous acclaim for her music from Scandinavian press and radio. With over 330k Instagram followers and 10m streams to her name—including the Love Island-featured track ‘Losing Sleep’, which hit no.2 on the UK Shazam chart—she is continuing to build her fanbase. In addition to her solo material, IVY has featured on a range of electronic and club tracks, including collaborations with Norwegian DJ Tungevaag, whom she’ll join on tour this summer at festivals across Northern Europe.
