WE SAY
They say three's a crowd, but the stellar line-up for Safe With You, on which dance behemoths Alex Metric and Jacques Lu Cont (aka super-producer Stuart Price) team up with Malin from Niki & The Dove, all bring something identifiably their own to the party on this summer smash. It might seem slightly after the fact to be talking of summer anthems, but whatever the season we're inclined to agree with the Guardian, who describe this former Hype Machine and Cool Cuts no. 1 as emerging 'like a cold beer at a BBQ'. Premiered as a dub mix by Annie Mac in May, Malin's distinctive vocal steers this Pete Tong-debuted new version to that sweet spot between euphoria and melancholy that every great dance record should hit. Accordingly Safe With You has received 24 plays to date at Radio 1 including B.Traits, Danny Howard, Annie Nightingale and Sara Cox, and 23 at Capital, with strong regional bringing the UK tally to over a thousand plays. The video has been added at MTV Dance, Capital TV, Chart Show Dance and Sub TV.
