Armin van Buuren feat. Cindy Alma
Beautiful Life

Positiva/Virgin

WE SAY

As if to prove his credentials as dance music royalty, in April this year Armin van Buuren was invited to perform at the inauguration of the Netherland's new king and queen. In May, newly installed at Positiva in its twentieth year, the world's number one DJ released his fifth album Intense, whose anthemic, RotD-featured lead single This Is What It Feels Like spent three weeks in the top 10, selling 180k units and racking up more than 17m YouTube views. New single Beautiful Life, featuring French vocalist Cindy Alma, is another big tune with van Buuren's trademark synth work and main-room production, with plays from Danny Howard, Steve Smart, Andi Durrant and more. Van Buuren headlines SW4 in London this weekend, with his State of Trance residency at Privilege in Ibiza throughout the summer, after which his royal visits take in Las Vegas, Sydney and of course his Netherlands home.

London gig: SW4, August 24
