Let’s Run Away
It’s been nearly a year since we featured Birmingham psyche/pop duo Solar Eyes and their tub-thumping call to arms, ‘Naked Monkey On A Spaceship’. Shortly after, they set off to SXSW to make their debut appearance and then spent time in Texas where they wrote and recorded this new single. Taken from their forthcoming self-titled debut album (out 16 Feb) produced by Tom Ford alongside themselves, ‘Let’s Run Away’ sees Glenn Smyth and Sebastian Maynard Francis produce a song that blends Spaghetti Western and Sci-Fi vibes to create a hazy rock anthem. Watch the psychedelic cowboy caper music video produced by the band’s bassist, Emily Doyle, here. Steve Lamacq (6 Music) and John Kennedy (Radio X) have championed the band, alongside praise from The Observer, Louder Than War and Rock’n’Load mag. Tomorrow, they will play a free show at the Two Palms in Hackney, London.
