Today’s Ones To Watch is British rising pop star Samira. She first came to our attention this summer when we featured her vitamin-C-fuelled summer dance banger ‘Envy Me’, which was co-written with Daniel Schulz. She followed it up with this flirty and sassy pop number and then, her fifth single, the reggaeton-infused ‘Good At Goodbyes’. To date, her songs have amassed over 10m combined streams, drawn praise from Billboard, Clash, NME, MTV UK, Wonderland, the Independent, Euphoria, The Line of Best Fit and more, as well as further plays at Radio 1, Gaydio and Kiss FM. At DSPs, she has picked up editorial playlist placements on Spotify (NMF, New Pop UK, Fresh Dance Pop) and Apple Music (NMD, New In Pop, A-List Pop). Alongside this, her tracks have featured on I’m A Celeb, Big Brother, Strictly Come Dancing, Love Island and Towie. Having spent time in the studio working with the likes of Tre-Jean Marie (Little Mix, FLO), Cutfather (Kylie Minogue, Pussycat Dolls) and Kal Lavelle (Ed Sheeran, Izzy Bizu) on music for her debut EP ‘Dancefloors & Drama Vol 1’, Samira will release this in January, in what we expect to be a busy year ahead for the talented south London artist.
