With the feel-good summer vibes returning with the sun, ‘Envy Me’ by pop newcomer Samira is the perfect summer dance banger to revitalise those vitamin-C-fueled energies. Co-written by Samira and Daniel Schulz, the wistful tinged track is the fourth single released by the south London-based independent artist. Since the song’s release late last month, the song has featured on editorial playlists at Spotify and Apple Music and helped her amass over 8m combined streams over her four releases. Tastemaker support to date has come from Clash, NME, Wonderland, 1883, MTV UK, Independent, Notion and Euphoria, to name just a few. While at radio, she has received spins at Radio 1, Kiss FM and Gaydio. Plus, she was a recent TikTok ‘Artist of the Week’. Having spent the past year in the studio, working with the likes of Tre-Jean Marie (Little Mix, FLO), Ryan Ashley (H.E.R., Anne-Marie) and Lil Eddie (Rita Ora, Maluma), she will be releasing her debut EP later this year. One to watch.
