In June 2019, we introduced you to the cinematic and moody sounds of baroque pop artist Honey Gentry and her beautiful track ‘Daydream Baby’. Since then, the video editor by day and artist by night has released two entirely self-produced and recorded albums from her bedroom studio, which has drawn tastemaker support from NME, Dork, Earmilk, Spotify and more. Influenced by Lana Del Rey, Mazzy Star and Tori Amos, Honey released her new EP ‘Different Water’ last month, which sees her explore space and astrology as themes. With its shimmering synths, layered vocals, haunted piano motifs and delicate guitar melodies, ‘Under Taurus’ is an enjoyable and ethereal listen.
