We say

Laden with drifting atmospherics reminiscent of Deerhunter and the sun-kissed, layered harmonies of Fleet Foxes, Kazbeg is the latest track from Brighton-based artist Sad Funeral. We first introduced you to the dreamy sounds of the former Cave Painting and Company frontman Adam Kane last June with the gorgeous track Gone. It was his first single after a lengthy period of reflection and recuperation away from writing and the music industry altogether. During his time away, Adam spent some time with his partner in a mountain village called Kazbegi in Georgia and upon returning was inspired to start writing again, and is where this blissful number received its name. Produced by Rob Flynn of Oslo Parks, the track is his finest release yet, brimming with confidence and a sound carefully honed to calm. Expect to see this added to mellow-pop, mediative and indie-folk playlists on streaming services over the coming weeks, having already been supported by tastemakers like Spotify, BBC Introducing and the Line of Best Fit among others.
