We’ve been keeping tabs on Oxfordshire songwriting duo OMYO since 2015 when we first featured their excellent track Roam. Tom and William impressed us again with Lady last year, and now consolidate things further with this song. They have an uncanny knack of being able to produce a sound that’s bang on trend and contemporary in feel, and this is no exception. Recently premiered with Clash, it’s another cleverly layered slice of grown-up pop with a soulful vocal line throughout. There’s been lots of regional radio support including from their local BBC Introducing Hereford and Worcestershire, and Accessorize have already confirmed they’ll be using their next single Mysterious Girl in the brand's Summer Festival campaign. The boys are slap-bang in the middle of a 13-date tour of the UK, with support slots alongside Jocelyn Brown and Soul II Soul already under their belt, and several summer festivals still to come. This is pure quality and exactly the kind of song we could easily hear covered on a future Rag’n’Bone Man album, for instance. Yep, it’s that good.
