Burn
We say
Currently en route to Iceland Airwaves, Italian/Punjabi sisters Veronica and Jess Pal, aka Baby Said, round off a breakthrough year in confident form. Since releasing their 1m streamed debut album 'BS' earlier this year, the Portsmouth-based duo have continued to build serious momentum: Apple Music have heavily championed them across UK, Italian and global rock playlists, while Spotify, Deezer and Amazon Music have all shown early and continued support. Radio has followed suit, with spins from BBC Radio 1 (Alyx Holcombe, Jess Iszatt), 6 Music ( Chris Hawkins), Radio X and Kerrang!. On the live side, they’ve supported James and the Cold Gun on a UK tour and delivered standout festival appearances at Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury, SXSW US and SXSW London Rolling Stones Future of UK Music stage. Their latest single 'Burn' shifts the pace. Trading in their trademark, high-octane rock energy for something more reflective, it places their exquisite vocal harmonies at the forefront, framed by a slow-building, atmospheric, almost Coldplay-esque guitar line. Already named BBC Introducing’s Track of the Week, it reveals a more intimate side to the duo while reinforcing their songwriting depth. We’ve been behind Baby Said since their brilliant 2023 single 'Fight', and 'Burn' only strengthens their status as one of the UK’s most exciting rising rock acts. With a new EP on the horizon, 2026 can’t come soon enough.
