Dublin singer-songwriter Shobsy closes his debut EP 'Own The Night' (out today) with a breathtaking reinterpretation of Bronski Beat’s queer anthem 'Smalltown Boy'. First performed on The Late Late Show, where it went viral with over 100k views in just 12 hours, Shobsy’s stripped-back version pairs his soaring, emotive vocals with delicate piano, turning the 1980s classic into a moving reflection on identity, resilience and self-acceptance. The release caps off a breakthrough year that’s seen Shobsy sign with SO Recordings and Pangea International Music Publishing (in partnership with Sony Music Publishing), sell out major Irish venues, perform as a special guest at the International Music Awards gala dinner in Los Angeles and is currently supporting My Baby on tour.
