Yuck

We say
Last year, we introduced you to the sonic world of London-based artist WØLFFE - a '90s tinged alt-rock affair, soaked in dreamy vocals, addictive synth melodies and lush, cinematic textures. Now she returns with 'Yuck', the title track from her upcoming EP, pushing her sound into even darker, more visceral territory. Written and largely produced from her bedroom during her first bout of depression, 'Yuck' turns personal turmoil into something powerful. It's a chaotic yet cohesive rush of jarring guitars, sinister synths and soaring vocals driven by an industrial pulse. Think Black Rebel Motorcycle Club meets Joy Division with flashes of Queenadreena and Nine Inch Nails. Co-produced with Dan McDougall (Liam Gallagher, Baby Queen), 'Yuck' is a haunting and hypnotic blast of surrealist alt-rock, tailor-made for alternative playlists and spins on 6 Music and Radio X. On Halloween, WØLFFE will release a short horror film for 'Yuck' via her YouTube channel. Having earned tastemaker support from Apple Music and toured with CHVRCHES' Lauren Mayberry earlier this year, WØLFFE has sold out three London shows while building an impressive parallel career in film and TV composition. Her distinctive vocals recently graced Netflix's House of Guinness, adding to previous credits including Terminal, Escape Plan 3, and Sky's Riviera. With "Yuck", WØLFFE proves that sometimes the most compelling art emerges from the darkest corners.
