We say

Amelia Coburn's folk horror storytelling takes a deliciously subversive turn on new single 'Something Wild'. Since her Bill Ryder-Jones-produced debut 'Between The Moon And The Milkman' caught Paul Weller's attention (one of his albums of the year for MOJO) and hit no.7 on the Official UK Independent Album Breakers chart, the Middlesbrough-based artist has been quietly building a devoted following. Now, with a spot on Weller's 'Find El Dorado' album secured, Coburn unleashes her most confident statement yet. Propelled by Ruth Lyon's cinematic strings and galloping guitars channelling classic Bond scores, the track marries Scott Walker's literary intensity with McCartney-esque melodic craft through Angela Carter's feminist fairy tale lens. All in all, it's quite brilliant. Tastemaker support for her music has come from across BBC Radio 2, 3, 4, 5, 6Music, plus praise from Clash, The Line of Best Fit, Louder Than War and The Arts Desk, to name just a few. Having supported The Levellers, Hamish Hawk and showcased at SXSW, this Red Riding Hood-inspired anthem confirms why she's building such a following. Catch her biggest London headline yet at Royal Albert Hall Elgar Room on 24 October.
