o(type)

We say
Thunderous basslines, cascading guitars and hushed yet urgent vocals collide on 'o(type)', the first new music from Cambridge quartet Lemondaze since 2021. The single signals a bold new chapter for the band, whose fusion of post-rock, shoegaze and grunge has steadily built them a cult reputation across the UK underground. Produced by Matt Glasbey (Alt-J, Sorry), 'o(type)' dials up the intensity as an “unconventional love song” exploring the lingering ache after a relationship ends. Trading their earlier ethereal textures for something raw and visceral, the single pulses with feral emotion, echoing the spirit of Curve and Deftones while remaining distinctly their own. With past praise from Miki Berenyi (Lush), stage time alongside Ride and Fat Dog, and a recent slot at ArcTanGent, Lemondaze sound reinvigorated and are stepping confidently into their next chapter.
