We were instantly captivated by the hushed, soul-baring confession of heartbreak and longing on 'Wish I Didn’t Love You' by Houston-born singer-songwriter Love Spells (Sir Taegen Harris). Produced by Alex Craig (Roy Blair, After, Claud), its low-slung groove and smoky vocal delivery wrap around a warm, washed-out minimal arrangement, creating an intimacy that feels both raw and timeless. It’s the kind of track we can easily imagine soundtracking a pivotal TV or film moment, while slotting seamlessly into alternative DSP playlists and finding a home on specialist shows at Radio 1 and 6 Music.
