So Kind

We say
‘So Kind’ marks the debut solo release from London-based Polish artist Ula. After moving to the UK at 17 to study at the BRIT School, she fronted the prog-pop group Tenacity and built a career as a producer and recording engineer in Hoxton. Now stepping out under her own name, Ula draws on the avant-pop flair of St Vincent and the stylised eccentricity of Allie X and Aurora, while forging a sound entirely her own. Blending glitchy electronics, gritty bass, and stylophone flourishes, 'So Kind' is an infectious, off-kilter synth-pop gem—and a compelling first taste of her self-produced debut EP, due later this year. Written about the ache of an unrequited crush, the track pairs warped pop melodies with sharp production, making it a strong fit for new pop playlists across DSPs and spins on Radio 1’s Future Pop. A confident and creatively assured debut from an artist with a clear vision. Ula's next single, ‘In My Eyes’, will be out next month.
