Hurricane

We say
London trio Dance Lessons offer a sublime glimpse of their upcoming debut album ‘Beginners’ with ‘Hurricane’ - a lush, jazz-tinged alt-pop track that explores the beauty and chaos of flawed relationships. Frontwoman Anne’s emotive vocals and slick, high-gloss production glide effortlessly over woozy synths and understated grooves, evoking the sonic sophistication of Jungle, Crazy P and Sault. Formed in 2020, the band – Anne (vocals/production), Nat (guitar) and Tom (bass/BVs) – have steadily built a reputation through a string of standout singles and sold-out shows. With support from BBC Radio 1, The Fader, Clash, The Line of Best Fit and more, the band are firmly on the rise – and ‘Hurricane’ is the perfect introduction for those new to their sumptuous sounds. Catch them live tomorrow night (25 June) at The Waiting Room in London.
