Little Sign

We say
Framed by soft, woozy guitars and a minimalist groove, ‘Little Sign’ is the new release from Zimbabwe-born, Leeds-raised, and Manchester-based artist Lei Hope. Reflecting on the emotional distance between siblings, the track leans into the more introspective corners of alternative R&B, with Hope’s soft vocal delivery sitting perfectly in the pocket of its spacious, soul-inflected arrangement. Co-produced with Will Levison and Hassan Kairi, the track sets the tone for his upcoming new EP, ‘Inertia’, which was inspired by the warmth of Daniel Caesar, the emotional candour of Phoebe Bridgers and the subtle strength of Charlotte Day Wilson. Having drawn attention from NPR, Clash, DIY, The Line of Best Fit, BBC 6 Music and Spotify for his music, ‘Little Sign’ is a gorgeous new chapter and one deserving of praise.
