We say

It’s been just shy of two years since we last featured London-based Glaswegian Alex Amor and her Cardigans-esque single ‘Time To Smile’. In that time, she has released her third EP, ‘Super Sonic’, amass over 5m streams and earned widespread support across radio and press - including BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Sian Eleri), The Line of Best Fit, DIY Magazine, Clash, Dork, Wonderland, The Rodeo, Notion, 1883 Magazine, The Skinny, and Ones To Watch, to name just a few. Fresh off a sold-out headline show at London’s Folklore last week, and recent support slots with Good Neighbours and Gretta Ray, Alex returns with her first new music from her upcoming full-length project. Produced by Peter Brien (Kojaque, Kean Kavanagh), ‘Seeing Angels’ is a captivating listen, full of laid-back grooves, shimmering guitars, and vocals that feel both close and distant, like a memory half-remembered. Featuring on Spotify UK’s New Music Friday and 'peach' playlist, the track has a hazy, dreamlike feel that would sound perfect on 6 Music but also on specialist shows at Radio 1 and 2. For fans of Lana Del Rey, Julia Jacklin and Weyes Blood.
