Anchored by thundering bass lines and soaring synthesisers, ‘All I Ever Wanted Was Your Love’ is the sublime new release from London-based, Irish singer-songwriter Dylan Kearns. With the haunting echoes of ‘80s Depeche Mode shimmering in the background, this a gorgeous follow-up to last year’s RotD-featured single, ‘Just Another Minute’, which was nominated for Hotpress Irish Song of the Year 2023. Produced with David Curley at The Clinic Recording Studios in Dublin and mixed by Aidan Cunningham and mastered by John Greenham (Billie Eilish, Sam Smith), the track deserves additions to new electronic/synth pop playlists, alongside spins on specialist shows at Radio 1, 6 Music, Virgin Radio and Absolute. Previous tastemaker support has come from Notion, alongside numerous Irish radio and sites. One to watch.
