In February, Brighton-based newcomer Libby Whitehouse burst onto the scene with her debut single ‘OMG’ – an addictive blast of pop goodness. Her brand of punchy, noughties-inspired big pop caught the attention of Radio 1's Mollie King (Future Bop), Dean & Vicky, Danny Beard and Maia Beth with numerous spins on Future Pop and an interview while amassing over 250k combined streams and 2m+ views on TikTok. Now back with her follow-up, ‘Fired’, Libby is quickly staking a claim to be one of the most exciting, emerging pop acts around. Featuring on new release programming at Spotify and Deezer, ‘Fired’ is a feel-good break-up song fizzing with energy, nostalgic pop hooks galore and smart, witty lyrics. Expect to hear this gather spins on Radio 1 over the coming weeks. Alongside tastemaker support from Spindle, United By Pop, Conversations About Her, the 23 year old has also worked with brands such as Puma and Sprite for campaigns. Next month, Libby will headline the Camden Assembly in London on 28 May. For fans of Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Carly Rae Jepsen.
