Performing at Eurosonic tonight (17 Jan) at 20.10 at Simplon is Bergen-based, Norwegian indie-rocker Bo Milli. Her coming of age debut EP, ‘Making Friends’, was released last October and featured this indie gem alongside the RotD-featured ‘Chewing Gum’. Drawing comparisons to everyone from Clairo, The Beths, Soccer Mommy and Phoebe Bridgers, the 23 year old has received praise from i-D, The Fader, Clash, The Line Of Best Fit, Dork, The Rodeo and many more. On the radio side, she has had airplay in Norway (NRK P13, P3), Germany (Flux FM) and Australia (Triple J). Having worked with producers and songwriters Odd Martin (Sigrid, Sløtface), Henrik Michelsen (Maisie Peters, Little Mix) and Albin Eidhagen and Tore Bojsten of Stockholm band Sötnos on her EP, Bo’s brutally honest lyrics and indie charm make her an artist to catch ESNS, and one to watch.
