Finishing our Ones To Watch 2024 this week is rising British singer and songwriter Lewis Fitzgerald. Born and raised in Streatham, south London, Lewis decided to fully pursue music when a video of him singing Ne-Yo’s ‘So Sick’ at his Halford’s temp job went viral and was spotted by early mentor Naughty Boy who in turn played demos to Relentless founder Shabs Jobanputra. Since then, Lewis has been perfecting a sound that takes influences from Post Malone and Justin Bieber, collaborated with US rapper Rxseboy, GRM Rated Award nominee wewantwraiths and worked with the likes of Marlon Roudette (Mabel, Wiley), Red Triangle (James Arthur, Charlie Puth) and Benji Gibson (Fred again.., Headie One, Aitch). A busy 2023 saw him release several singles and his ‘Our House’ EP, support Mackenzy Mackay on tour and build 500k+ TikTok followers. Today (5 Jan), Lewis marks the new year with this soul searching offering 'Unloveable' that showcases his pop credentials. Having performed at a Notion X Instagram event and collaborated with TikTok LIVE, Lewis has recorded two Mahogany sessions to be released over the next few months to add to his growing videography, which also includes an SBTV session. With the likes of Kiss, Radio 1, GRM Daily and MTV already championing him, along with editorial playlist placements at Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer, Lewis is set to have a big 2024.
