‘Wretched’ is the beautiful new single from former Walking On Cars frontman Pa Sheehy. The Dingle-based singer-songwriter has released a string of singles and two solo EPs, ‘Lost in a ’90s Arcade’ and ‘The Art of Disappearing’. His solo music has seen extensive support across European radio, especially in Ireland, and from tastemakers like Hot Press. Last Friday (20 October), he dropped this gorgeous song, filled with layered vocals, lush instrumentation and a warm melody. With echoes of Bon Iver sound-wise, the song is about the underdog story of struggle, persistence and glory. Early support has come from Spotify with an addition to New Music Friday and praise from Irish tastemakers. After a busy summer, which saw him play Main Stage at Electric Picnic and support Bruce Springsteen in London, November and December will see him head out on a UK, Ireland and European tour, with a show at Bush Hall in London on 28 November. One to watch.
