We say

Next week sees the pilgrimage of the music industry's finest to Brighton for the Great Escape festival (although returning might be a bit of an issue with the planned rail strikes over the weekend). Over the next week, we shall be looking at some of the acts we recommend you should check out. First up, is Harvey Jay Dodgson, a RotD favourite and an artist who has won the affections of Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, Radio X’s John Kennedy, BBC Introducing, Clash Magazine, Wonderland Magazine, and Notion, to name just a few, over the past year. Alongside this, tracks from his newly released (out today, 5 May) Alligator EP has seen serious support on Apple Music’s editorial playlists (NMD, New In Alt, Alt Control)  and on Spotify (Shockwave). This title track, produced by Tom Manning (Chappaqua Wrestling) and Damon Minchella, sees Harvey at his best with his whiskey-soaked vocals luring the listener in on a high-energy indie-rock anthem. This summer will see him performing at the Glastonbury festival for the first time and working on his debut album with German producer Flo August (300m+ streams. Catch Harvey playing at the Alt Escape at Salthouse Records and Big Hug Management showcase events at St Nicholas Church at 3pm on Thursday 11 May and then again at 9.45pm at the North Laine Brewhouse.
