Let us introduce you to the rich, soulful voice of 22 year old singer songwriter Tom Webber. Born in Didcot, Tom grew up in a music-obsessed family where he was introduced to 1950s rock’n’roll by his father and the importance of blues by his grandfather. Having explored the sounds of the Beatles, Beach Boys and Madness, Tom learnt the guitar at 12 and at 15 started to busk in Oxford. After school, he went on to study audio production before releasing his first EP, Stop and Think About It, in 2020, which caught the attention of BBC Introducing and Gary Crowley on BBC Radio London. Since then, he has been busy writing and playing live, supporting Nick Lowe and The James Hunter Six. I’m Yours is his latest offering. A heartfelt and personal ode that draws on that ’50s rock’n’roll sensibility amidst the folk-led guitar sounds of Dylan and the sing-a-long nature of the Beatles. It’s a gorgeous track with something appealingly retro about it but with a modern take. This summer, Tom has been lined up to play several summer festivals, including Isle of Wight, Glastonbury, Cornbury, Truck and Womad. All in all, Tom Webber is an exciting, emerging talent who has cross-generational appeal, a welcoming vocal and a charismatic charm that will quickly sweep you off your feet.
