Last November, we featured the gorgeous track Dream Never Dies from Los Angeles-based four-piece Lo Moon. It was their first new song in over three years, and since then, the group has picked radio spins from Chris Hawkins and Steve Lamacq at 6 Music. At the end of February, the band dropped their second album, A Modern Life, produced by themselves and with help from Yves Rothman (Yves Tumor, Miya Folick) and Chris Walla, who produced their debut album. With its broad and vibrant indie-rock energy, Expectations perfectly highlights the vast and expansive direction the group have pursued on this new full-length. It’s a transportive listen, filled with a glittering arrangement and progressive drive. Tastemaker support has come from Mojo, Daily Star, Dork, Independent, Louder Than War and many more, while Matt Everitt featured the album as his New Album Fix on 6 Music. Next month, they will be supporting The War On Drugs on their US and European tour, as well as headlining Lafayette on 25 April.
