We say

Hotly tipped as NME’s ‘Big 10’ ones to watch for 2021, London-based singer-songwriter Marie Naffah is back with this feelgood, upbeat slice of dream-pop. Having been named as MTV’s Unsigned Artist of the Year before releasing a song, she released her debut EP Golden State earlier this year and has recently completed her latest project ‘50/50: For the Love of Live’. The project saw Marie play 50 gigs in 50 days to celebrate the return of live music after the pandemic. Released as a conceptual double single, Honey was written when she was chosen as an artist in residence at a 17th-century mansion in the south of Barcelona called Mas Palou. The song is a beautifully lush affair that recalls the timeless sounds of Fleetwood Mac. To accompany the release, Marie has built a bespoke website that encourages her fans to become part of the experience. Exquisite songwriting and vocal from an emerging new artist.
