Young Man is the latest release from London-based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Kiara Jordan. Raised in South Africa, the British-born artist draws heavily on two cultures to inform both her music and lyrics. After witnessing "the systemic racism and discrimination" in South Africa, she was inspired to write this thoughtful release. Driven by a simple piano motif and guitar melody, backed by hushed percussion, the track offers a lush soundbed to highlight the message behind the song. Watch the powerful accompanying video here. Having only started to release material last year, Kiara has built up a broad catalogue of tracks, crossing genres, which has seen online tastemaker support from Mahagony, Loud Women, and LeFutureWave, plus radio support at BBC Radio Berkshire and Radio Kent. A new artist to keep tabs on.
