L’aupaire is the moniker of Berlin-based folk-pop artist Robert Laupert, and this warm slice of acoustic goodness is his latest release. Signed to Vertigo/Universal in Europe and label services via Ingrooves in the UK and Rest of the World, Robert has, over the past couple of years, gained a loyal following with over 80m combined streams. Taken from his forthcoming third album (due out in spring 2022), this open-armed lullaby sees the rising star rooting for deeper connections and togetherness. Upon release last month, When I Fall featured on Spotify Germany’s New Music Friday playlist, alongside additions to Acoustic Summer and Brand New Indie. Deserving of plays across Radio 2, 6 Music, Virgin and Absolute, this tranquil and triumphant gem is a beautiful listen. Watch the picturesque video here. He’s just completed a string of sold-out shows in Germany, his first tour in 18 months, with international festivals and dates in the planning for the rest of the year and into 2022.
