We say
German duo ÄTNA are back with another excellent track. We’ve been following them since late 2019, and with each release, including the fantastic debut album Made By Desire, they have impressed us with their brand of opulent and avant-garde pop. This time, they have teamed up techno marching band MEUTE for this brilliant left-leaning slice of analogue dance music. The artists first met in 2019 and quickly bonded over their music styles. During the pandemic, they decided to work together on this track. With echoes of Berlin’s Tresor in the 90s vibes, Weirdo combines the disruptive beats of The Chemical Brothers with the out there feel of The Knife for a glorious evocative number. Watch the video here. Both bands will head out on tours across Europe this summer, with MEUTE playing the London Forum on 7 September.
