We’ve been fans of Swedish dream-pop group ViVii since October 2018, and over that time they have delighted us with a wave of gorgeous singles, including One Day and Suckerpunch. Following on, they have caught the attention of tastemakers like Earmilk, Under The Radar, Clash, Wonderland and many more, while streaming support has come from Spotify and Apple Music. Channelling their inner Fleetwood Mac on their latest single, Smackdown, ViVii offers a refreshingly upbeat ode that is part tribute to their Swedish music heroes ABBA. Taken from their Line Of The Best Fit-approved second album Mondays, the song has picked up praise from the Independent, Atwood, Pop Matters, and the Official Charts among others, plus achieved no.1 status for four days on Hype Machine. A warm and glittering dose of joyful dream-pop.
