Released last Friday, The Bride is a sultry, harmonious track that sees Lo draw on Uma Thurman’s complex and lethal Kill Bill character to convey inner conflict and self-torment. It’s a darkly beautiful tale of love and loss, awash with soft, hazy production, skittering percussion and hypnotic instrumentation. Perfect for moody and chilled contextual playlist, The Bride offers a tantalizing glimpse of Lo’s talent and songwriting ability. She’s already caught the attention of Spotify (Mid Tempo Magic addition) and Sian Eleri at Radio 1 (Chilliest Show) with her gorgeous debut Rose Tinted Glasses, and we expect this seductive gem to follow suit and build on it. Just amazing.
