We say

Once in a while, you hear an artist for the first time and know they have everything to become a big star. London-based emerging talent Sophia Amato is one of those. We’ve been passionate early supporters of Sophie from the get-go, and now she has outdone herself again with this unbelievable track. Spotify, Amazing Radio, Crack in the Road, When The Horn Blows and Reignland are among her admirers so far for her first two singles. But it is this gloriously melodic and brooding ode about “recognising yourself through good and bad” that we think is the one to rocket her to the next level. Spotify seems to think so, having chosen Seven Sad Sins to feature as one of their NOTEABLE Releases this week, which highlights key releases from the songwriting and producer community. With its luxurious modern take on soul, jazz and gospel, Seven Sad Sins is a mesmerising listen, from the very first 15 seconds to the beat-driven bridge. Much like Celeste, Arlo Parks and Cleo Sol, Sophie Amato is a unique talent in the contemporary soul music scene, and if not already, one to add to your radar.
