Let us introduce you to Heckyl, the new artist project from RotD favourite Luke Potter. Having collaborated and co-written tracks with Marcus Lindberg, Hjalmar Wilen and Grammy Award winner Jorgen Elofsson and worked with producers Ken Caillat and Jon Kelly, Luke has now decided to write and produce his own music at his Sweet Factory studio. Explaining the inspiration behind Heckyl, Luke said: “Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, these are all feelings that we can get when we listen to the monster inside our head. But also, it can drive you to try harder, appreciate love, life and be creative. Heckyl is mine, and I’m using it to share my feelings that I hope will connect.” This vibrant, synth-led number with an Ed Sheeran-like hook and energetic beat is the first of six singles he has recorded to be released this year under his new alias. Premiered on Clout, the track is off to a great start and is sure to pick up more online love over the next few days with its infectious vibe.
