When this sublime song dropped into our inbox from BREATONIA and JAK last week we were instantly impressed with its ‘90s R&B feels, soulful licks and those gorgeous vocals. It quickly became a favourite, reminding us of classic Destiny’s Child with a touch of Kelis and some good old electronic funk. Released on Friday (5 Feb), ALL IN marks the second collaborative release from singer-songwriter-producer BREATONIA (who has previously had topline credits with Toolroom Records) and producer JAK (also part of Garage duo Tease & Reset). Their first release, EXPOSURE, saw them gain tastemaker support from Clash, Spindle, GUAP Magazine and BBC London. With a joint EP to come in the summer, along with individual projects, we are going to be seeing plenty more from these talented artists, and that is a very good thing. Feel-good R&B with lashings of soul.
