Enchantingly expansive and packed with so much promise for the future, this ethereal odyssey from Nottingham-based Chloe Rodgers is something special indeed that demands your attention right from the off. The first thing that hits you is the celestial electronic atmospherics as her gorgeously whispered vocals remembers fond and bad memories. Beautifully orchestrated and cinematic in scope with added strings and horns, Faces is at its heart a masterpiece in intention and creativity. Premiered last week by Clash, the track has since gathered further online tastemaker praise from the likes of Clout, Girls Underground Music and The Digital Fix among others. Inspired by Thom Yorke, Billie Eilish and PJ Harvey, Rodgers has developed, along with producer and composer Anders Källmark, a sound wrapped in emotion and hidden depths. A breathtakingly, beautiful composition.
