Give Me Something Human

Artist: State Lights
Label: unsigned via AWAL
Impact date: Out now
ROTD featured date: Friday 28 August 2020

We say

State Lights are a four-piece from Ireland which continue to impress us with their heartfelt stadium rock pop. This latest track (released today) comes as a follow-up to our previously featured song Don’t Make Plays on My Heart, which shone brightly for us back in May. Building on their success in Ireland with tastemaker support from the likes of Hot Press, RTE 2FM (Track of the Week), and the Late Late Show, the lads return with a shimmering blast of anthemic rock. Once again, it is frontman Shobsy’s voice, with a hint of Keane’s Tom Chaplin about it, that pulls you into this indie earworm. Perfectly suited for airplay with its radio friendly hooks and additions to rock/pop streaming playlists, Give Me Something Human is the ideal antidote for those of you missing your Reading & Leeds festival dose this weekend.
