We say

22 year old London-born artist CHINCHILLA is an artist who is supremely confident in her abilities and for good reason too. When we first heard her debut EP, Awakening, we were blown away by the sheer audacity and addictiveness of her blend and range of genres. From the fiery vocals and Missy Elliott-like bars of lead track Know No to our personal favourite One Time, which starts out with an ASMR-like Eilish pop whisper and gradually builds in pop grandeur until the chorus kicks in with full-on rock vocals. It’s a remarkable listen, and even more so when considering she has written and self-produced the EP too. Since releasing her debut single, Elements, last year, she has already played the Great Escape and Isle of Wight festivals, as well as supporting Sting on his European arena tour. Last night she took part in Notion’s Lockdown Livestream, and from this Saturday will start a virtual world tour with Live Nation. CHINCHILLA is a compelling alt-pop newcomer with rock tendencies, hip-hop leanings and masses of attitude. Just glorious.
